About me

A passion for texts

Being a freelance editor and copywriter gives me great pleasure. I am paid to improve something as much as possible, or even to create it from scratch. Much of what is important to me personally also contributes to my work: punctuality, reliability and creativity.

Books and the internet have shaped my youth

In 2007, I successfully completed my business studies – and then I realized something was still missing: books, texts, and the discussion about them. That is why I continued to study – literature, this time. Thus, I followed a path that had early on been prepared by my grandfather’s bookshelf. It is his typewriter I wrote my first stories on, too: how the wolf from Nu Pagadi unsuccessfully chases the hare. With the internet, HTML, websites and online games something new was added to the equation that I found equally interesting. Today, I merge the two.

I do not use mistakes to pass judgement

I look for mistakes in texts – but not in my clients. We will always communicate at eye level. I will let you know my opinion and give recommendations, but I will not try to teach you. I am always suspicious about myself first.

What I have been working with over the past few years

For the German publisher Rowohlt I have edited non-fiction books, including Arbeit ist ein Knochenjob – a book about the work of the palaeontologist Kai Jäger, or the financial guidebook Madame Monneypenny: Wie Frauen ihre Finanzen selbst in die Hand nehmen können by Natascha Wegelin. For Blinkist, I edit short texts which give concise summaries of the contents of non-fiction books. And for quite a while now, I have been editing quiz and guessing games for the publisher moses.
I edited a study guide for the Alice Salomon Hochschule, leaflets and image magazines for Monotype, a magazine about the history of the German Red Cross in Corea or the annual report of Stiftung Warentest. For the Bau- und Spar Dortmund eG I edited and proofread more than 400 cover letters sent to clients.
I have written texts for the pixarprinting blog as well as wpk GmbH and various freelancers such as a coach and an expert in the health care sector. For textfokus, I regularly write SEO texts.
